AUDIO TRANSCRIPTION SERVICES 

As a general rule, when transcribing focus groups, interviews, conferences, etc, 15 minutes  of audio will take one hour to transcribe. 

Below is a general guide to the rates that we charge for our transcription service (These prices include proofing the transcription back to the audio file).

Interview transcription verbatim (2 people)                              £1.10 per audio minute 
Interview transcription intelligent verbatim                               £1.00 per audio minute 
Conference transcription                                                       £1.00 per audio minute 
Focus Group transcription verbatim                                         £1.30 per audio minute 
Focus Group transcription intelligent verbatim                           £1.20 per audio minute
Film/Documentary verbatim with time codes                             £1.20 per audio minute 
Film/Documentary verbatim without time codes                         £1.10 per audio minute
Film/Documentary intelligent verbatim with time codes                £1.10 per audio minute
Film/Documentary intelligent verbatim without time codes           £1.00 per audio minute

If the recording quality is poor, Typing Solutions will notify you of a revised charge per audio minute for your agreement to reflect the additional time transcription will take, before commencement

For complex terminology, ie medical, an additional surcharge will be made, to be notified before commencement

AUDIO TYPING SERVICES - SAME DAY SERVICE 

General correspondence/reports/invoices              - 95 pence per audio minute
Inventories/Estate Agent Details                         - 95 pence per audio minute 
Building Survey Reports                                     - 95 pence per audio minute 
Medical/Psychiatric/Medico-Legal                        - £1.00 per audio minute 

Please note that audio files received after 1.00pm for same day return will have a 10p per audio minute surcharge added to the above prices.  For example an inventory received at 1.00pm will be charged at £1.05 per audio minute for return the same day.  For a medico-legal report received after 1.00pm for return the same day will be charged at £1.10 per audio minute.

General correspondence/reports/invoices              - 85 pence per audio minute
Inventories/estate agents details                        - 85 pence per audio minute 
Building survey reports                                      - 85 pence per audio minute 
Medical/Psychiatric/Medico-legal                         - 90 pence per audio minute

COPY TYPING SERVICES 

Copy typing from handwritten copy £9.00 per 1,000 words 
Copy typing from text - £8.50 per 1,000 words 
For copy typing, if handwriting is hard to decipher, the charge will be agreed before commencement
